Payment Information

Please adhere to the following guidelines when mailing a payment (unless other instructions are on the form/application being submitted):

  1. All payments must be for the correct amount.
  2. Payment must be made in U.S. Funds only.
  3. Submit a check or money order (do not send cash) payable to: Department of Motor Vehicles.
  4. Overpayments of $1.00 or less are not refunded unless specifically requested.
  5. Payment by “bad check” will result in additional fee assessment of $20.00.

Convert License From Another State (Non-Commercial)

Note: See exam/testing fees  (Portions of the exam may be waived, however, the fee is still collected)
Operator License (exam fee + 4-year license):  $62.00
Operator License (exam fee + 2-year license)  $45.00

Motorcycle Endorsement

Note: See exam/testing fees
Motorcycle endorsement  $2.00 per year

  • For a motorcycle endorsement on a 2-year license:  $4.00 + $28.00 = $32.00
  • For a motorcycle endorsement on a 4-year license:  $8.00 + $45.00 = $53.00
Non-Driver Identification Card

New (first) card  $17.00
Renewal of card  $20.00

SSI/SSD Reduced Fees (Non-Driver ID only):  An individual who is currently on Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Social Security Disability (SSD) is eligible for a reduced fee for a Non-Driver ID. Proof of SSI or SSD is required at the time of the service. This can be done by submitting a benefit verification letter to this Department. A copy of the benefit verification letter can be obtained by contacting Social Security by phone, mail or in person. The reduced fees for those who are on SSI/SSD are:

New (first) card (SSI/SSD)  $10.00
Renewal of card (SSI/SSD)  $10.00

Enhanced License/ID Fee

$25 in addition to the standard fees for licenses and/or non-driver ID.

Replacement or Corrected License/Permit/ID Fees

Junior Operator License  $15.00
Learner Permit  $17.00
Motorcycle Learner Permit  Free
Non-Driver Identification Card  $15.00
Operator License  $15.00

4- year commercial driver license  $75.00
2- year commercial driver license  $50.00
Commercial driver instructional permit  $12.00 (includes photo fee)

Replacement or Corrected Commercial License
