Temporary Driver’s License Information/Photo ID Card Information for Enhanced Driver License (EDL) Applicants

As part of the process of obtaining a Vermont Enhanced Driver License or Enhanced Non Driver ID (EDL/ID) customers must surrender their current non EDL/ID. DMV issues temporary driver’s licenses/identification cards, which are valid for 30 days, to individuals who have applied for an EDL/ID. The temporary may be used by any business to validate name, age, address, etc., just as a permanent DL/Photo ID card.  See current list of Vermont DMV offices issuing EDL/ID.
