Vermonters can renew selected motor vehicle registrations and receive temporary 30-day "R" stickers from participating Town Clerks. All preprinted computer generated "Registration Renewals" with current month or up to 2 previous month(s) expiration (including motorboat registrations and snowmobile registrations) will be processed. Two year renewals are available (at a discounted rate) for pleasure cars, school buses and trucks (weighing 6099 lbs. or less).

Fees

• Checks and money orders only - cash will not be accepted for renewal fees.
• Must be for correct amount.
• A processing fee (cash accepted) is paid directly to the Town Clerks for each renewal and is a separate fee from the renewal fee.

Some restrictions apply

1. Only changes to the address are allowed .
2. Only preprinted renewal forms will be accepted.
3. Only renewals with current month or up to 2 previous month expirations will be accepted.
4. Renewals will be processed only during regular Town Clerk Office hours.
5. The following types of transactions will not be processed:

• Truck (54,999 lbs. or more)
• Oversize/Overweight Permits
• Driver License transactions
• International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA)
• IRP (Apportioned) Registrations
