72 HOUR TEMPORARY TRIP PERMITS FOR
THE INTERNATIONAL REGISTRATION PLAN (IRP)
AND/OR
THE INTERNATIONAL FUEL TAX AGREEMENT (IFTA)

Out of state carriers that are not apportion registered in Vermont must obtain a 72 hour trip permit for a fee (see trip permit fee) plus an enhanced access fee (see enhanced access fee).

Out of state carriers that are not a member of IFTA, must obtain a 72 hour trip permit for a fee (see trip permit fee) plus an enhanced access fee (see enhanced access fee).

The enhanced access fee covers the cost of data flow, permitting fee processing, and wire transfer costs. Questions regarding the enhanced access fee should be submitted to portal-feedback@vermont.nicusa.com.

Trip permits may be obtained online at
www.vermont.gov/irp
or www.vermont.gov/ifta.


This online service allows carriers to obtain a 72 hour trip permit in Vermont for the International Registration Plan and/or International Fuel Tax Agreement. You may print your permit right from this service immediately after payment is accepted.
