Agency of Transportation Names Interim Commissioner of Motor Vehicles
Montpelier, Vermont – Governor Phil Scott has named an interim Commissioner for the Department Motor Vehicles. Deputy Commissioner Wanda Minoli has been named Interim Commissioner until a permanent appointment can be made. Ms. Minoli will be taking over for long-time Commissioner Rob Ide who is retiring from State service, stepping down from the post that he held for eight years.
Ms. Minoli is a thirty-two-year veteran of State service. She brings extensive experience in leadership roles as well as a background of interacting with the public and with the legislature. She started her career with the State of Vermont in the Agency of Education in 1985. She has been the Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Motor Vehicles since 2016. In 2012 she was appointed Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Buildings and General Services. Prior to the Deputy position at Buildings and General Services, Ms. Minoli had served as the Principal Assistant for Buildings and General Services.
Ms. Minoli will assume this post immediately.
