Please be advised the Department of Motor Vehicles will be implementing a new Point of Sale (POS) finance system.  The new system will not utilize an audit line for temporary registration documents.

Attached are temporary registration documents (8½” X 11”) showing the old format with the audit line (Exhibit A) as well the new temporary registration format (Exhibit B) that will be used to validate DMV registration transactions. The current permanent registration certificate (3½” X 5½”) will remain unchanged (Exhibit C) at this time.

These changes will be implemented at the various DMV branch offices in stages beginning Monday, November 6 with the Rutland branch office.  All offices will be utilizing the new POS system by Thursday November 9, 2017.
