SUMMARY: DMV Inspectors were assigned to investigate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) crash on Vermont Rt 15 in Cambridge.  Initial investigation showed that a Honda Ridgeline pickup operated by Caitlin Munson, 23, of  Jeffersonville, VT, had been traveling westbound on Rt 15 when control was lost on the roadway during inclement weather.  The pickup truck crossed over the centerline into the path of a commercial tree service truck operated by Matthew Jewett, 47, of Franklin, VT. The commercial vehicle carrier was identified as DJ's Tree Service Logging Inc of Colchester, VT. The roadway was closed to thru traffic for a short period of time while tow trucks removed the vehicles from the roadway.  No injuries were reported.  DMV conducted a post-crash inspection on the CMV and did not discover any pre-existing causal factors to this crash. The road conditions at the time of the crash were snow-covered due to an ongoing snowstorm.  DMV reminds travelers on our roadways to use caution during inclement weather, reduce speed and ensure that their vehicle is properly equipped for winter weather.
