SUMMARY: On 8/2/23, VT Motor Vehicle Police were notified of a two vehicle crash involving a commercial motor vehicle on VT RTE 105 in Newport Town. The crash is still under investigation at this time. Two occupants of the passenger car were transported to North Country Hospital with significant injuries. Subsequently, one of the passengers was then taken to a facitlity provding a higher level of care. The two occupants of the commercial vehicle were not transported from the scene. VT Rte 105 was closed for approximately 6 hrs while the at scene investigation was being conducted and the vehicles were being removed. Vermont State Police Crash Reconstruction Team responded to the scene to assist with the investigation. VT Motor Vehicle Police are completing the Crash investigation and the Post Crash CMV Inspection. No further details are available at this time.
