The Motor Vehicle Data Clerk is responsible for specialized clerical work that includes researching data and coding documents so that they may be entered into the system of record. Additionally, the incumbent will assist others in and outside of the unit, both in-person and via phone or e-mail, with various research requests and document retrieval. Intermittent lifting of boxes of documents or supplies weighing up to 50 lbs. is to be expected. This position will require the employee to complete multiple pieces of training regarding confidentiality and information security, as they will work with secure information on a daily basis. The work is performed in an open-air cubicle setting, with moderate amounts of typical office noises including, but not limited to, printers, scanners, copiers, loading/unloading of deliveries, phones, and fax machines. At times, this position will lend support to other units and may require the use of additional office equipment, and training to complete other work processes as needed.
