The Consumer's Repair Summary For A 3-Times-Out Claim will help you organize the repair history when filing under the "3 times out" provision.
3-Times-Out Claim (Filing Method A):
The Board includes gubernatorial appointees of a new car dealer and alternate, one active technician and alternate, and three citizens and one alternate "shall be persons having no direct involvement in the design, manufacture, distribution, sales or service of motor vehicles or their parts" (9 V.S.A. Section 4174). Interested citizens should be available for attendance at daylong hearings held monthly in Montpelier. Compensation is $50 per diem plus expenses (32 V.S.A. §1010).
Title brands indicate whether a used vehicle has sustained damage or might be potentially unsafe to drive. If a vehicle's title has been "branded," it is an official designation made by a state agency and should appear on the vehicle's title paperwork.
A Vermont title may have no more than 9 total brands. All brands existing on any non-Vermont title will be carried forward, using brand(s) from the list below.
A Demand For Arbitration will be docketed for a hearing when it is completed in full, accompanied by the information requested within the Enclosures Checklist and submitted per the Filing Instructions. The claim will be returned if applicable enclosures are omitted. Please remember the preparation and presentation of the case is your responsibility.
