3-Wheeled Motorcycle Driver Training

The following is a listing of approved 3-Wheeled motorcycle driving programs. Students successfully completing an approved 3-Wheeled training will be exempt from the required skill test to obtain a 3-wheeled motorcycle endorsement. Students will still be required to pass the knowledge examination in order to obtain an endorsement. For information regarding tuition, schedules and other details, please contact the schools directly.

2019 Motorcycle Training Schedule Released

Vermont Rider Education Program (VREP) Schedule for 2019 has been released - VREP was established in 1990 to offer motorcycle rider training to anyone who wishes to enjoy the sport of motorcycling. The Program offers instructional courses to make your motorcycling safer and more enjoyable.

Driver's License Endorsements

(a) Requirements to Obtain a School Bus Endorsement.

Before a person may be licensed to assume the duty of transporting school pupils in either a Type I or Type II school bus, he or she shall comply with applicable provisions of 23 V.S.A. §1282, and shall:

(1) Successfully pass the following tests:

a. Vision test.

Become a VREP Instructor

The VT Rider Education Program (VREP) is looking for individuals interested in becoming certified to conduct the Motorcycle Safety Foundation’s Basic RiderCourse. VREP will be conducting a RiderCoach Preparation (RCP) course in 2019. The training will be held over three three-day weekends beginning on the weekend of May 3rd through the fifth and continuing on the weekends of May 10th through 12th and May 17th through 19th. The training is provided at no charge to individuals interested in working for VREP after becoming certified to teach the Basic RiderCourse.

What are the Vermont Rider Education Program Experienced Courses?

The Experienced Rider License Waiver Course is a one-day course designed for riders who do not possess a driver’s license endorsed for motorcycle operation. Students successfully completing this course will be exempt from taking the state required motorcycle skill exam.

Experienced Rider Skills Plus Course is a one-day course designed for riders who already possess a motorcycle endorsement and frequently ride.
