NOTE:

  • The restrooms at the DMV offices in Montpelier are being renovated, however, we don’t anticipate any interruption of DMV services due to these renovations.
  • Enhanced Driver License/ID is available at this location (Monday-Friday 7:45 a.m. thru 4:30 p.m.)
  • The DMV Stockroom hours are Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. thru 4:00 p.m.  If you have questions or need additional information, please contact the DMV Stockroom at 802-828-2090.

Services

Montpelier is the location of the Main Offices for the Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles. All services provided by the Department are available at this location.

  • Trucks being registered at 54,999 lbs. or below
  • Registrations that have been expired for more than one year
  • Registrations that expire in a future month (for example:  if the renewal of the registration isn't due until October you can't try to renew it in September)
