The VT Rider Education Program (VREP) is looking for individuals interested in becoming certified to conduct the Motorcycle Safety Foundation’s Basic RiderCourse. The training is free to individuals interested in working for VREP after becoming certified to teach the Basic RiderCourse.
Enrollment Requirements: RiderCoach Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or its equivalent, hold a valid driver’s license with motorcycle endorsement which has not been suspended or revoked at any time during the preceding two years, driving record must be clear of convictions for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs during the preceding five years and have at least four years of motorcycle riding experience during the preceding five years.
Completion Requirements: Complete a home study assignment, skill and knowledge tests, and student teaching assignments.
Candidates completing the RCP will be certified as a Motorcycle Safety Foundation RiderCoach and are eligible to work for the Vermont Rider Education Program. If you need any additional information, contact the Program Coordinator.
