Same-Day Transactions for In-Person Appointments
Most vehicle registration and title transactions are now completed on the same day during in-person appointments. In most cases, customers will leave the DMV with their license plate, registration, and/or title.
Registration Cards and Stickers Discontinued
The DMV no longer issues registration cards and stickers. Instead, your vehicle registration document will be a standard 8.5 x 11 inch paper, and Vermont law now allows you to carry and display proof of registration electronically on a portable device such as a phone.
