SUMMARY: 

On August 21, 2024, at approximately 5:25 a.m., Inspector Lindor responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a commercial motor vehicle and with injuries. The investigation determined that the operator of a white 2017 Chevrolet Cruze, identified as Genevieve Kelley, 60, of Waterford, VT, was inattentive due to the manipulation of the vehicle’s display while entering the intersection from Lower Waterford Road onto VT 18. This caused the operator of a 1999 Kenworth T800 commercial crane truck, Stephen Bickford, 52, of Lyndon, VT, to crash into the passenger vehicle. Kelley was transported by emergency medical services to Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital for injuries sustained from the crash, and the passenger vehicle was towed by B&B Towing and Recovery due to disabling damage. The commercial motor vehicle sustained front end damage. The incident was assisted by Waterford Fire Department, Calex Ambulance, and Vermont State Police.
