LOCATION OF EVENT(S): VT Route 78 in Swanton

SUMMARY: On January 24, 2025, at approximately 7:52 a.m. inspectors from the Department of Motor Vehicles Enforcement and Safety Division responded to a single vehicle crash involving a commercial motor vehicle. Upon arrival it was found that the commercial vehicle, a 2007 International L9327 towing a 2024 Manac trailer loaded with building materials, had rolled over and ultimately come to rest off the roadway.
The operator, Douglas Tisdale, 57, of North Winham, Maine, was transported to Northwest Medical Center in St. Albans for minor injuries.
DMV was assisted by Vermont State Police, Swanton Village Fire Department, and TDI Towing.
