LOCATION OF EVENT(S): Interstate 91 South in Derby at mile marker 177

INVESTIGATING INSPECTOR(S):  Inspector Jacobs

SUMMARY: 

On 09/13/24 at approximately 9:55 a.m., DMV Enforcement and Safety responded to a two-vehicle crash with no reported injuries or roadway hazards on Interstate 91 in Derby. Inspector Jacobs arrived on scene and spoke with Jaclyn Wilson, 76 of Irlande, Quebec, who was operating a 2018 Lexus SUV. Wilson said she merged onto I-91 from the Derby Welcome Center and into the path of a Kenworth tractor trailer combination, which was operated by Geoffrey Elliot, 30 of Howick, Quebec, and owned by M. Nussey Farms. Wilson’s vehicle sustained minor damage as a result of the crash. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. DMV was assisted on scene by the Vermont State Police.
