SUMMARY: On 7/25/24 at 6:07 a.m., DMW Enforcement was dispatched to 1483 Lower Plain in Bradford for a report of a tractor trailer that struck a car. The operator of a 2006 Western Star tractor trailer (Vehicle 2) was identified as Keith Langmaid, 58, of East Charleston, VT. The operator of a 2015 Honda Civic (Vehicle 1) was identified as Lawerance Clark, 73, of Bradford, VT. Upon completion of the investigation, it was determined that Vehicle 1 was traveling south on U.S. Route 5 in Bradford. Langmaid stated that he came upon Vehicle 1 traveling slowly in the travel lane before it pulled off to the right side of the road. Langmaid stated that he attempted to pass Vehicle 1 on the left side when Vehicle 1 cut across the lane in an attempt to turn left without signaling. Clark was transported to the hospital by a family member with an injury to his collar bone.
