SUMMARY:
On 12/02/24 at approximately 9:36 a.m., VT DMV Enforcement responded to a two-vehicle crash with no reported injuries on Holt Road in Marshfield. Upon arrival, Inspector Jacobs spoke with Brooke Deschamps, 18, of Marshfield. Deschamps said she was leaving a private roadway, entering Holt Rd, and unable to stop due to icy conditions. Deschamps attempted to stop her vehicle, a 2018 Toyota RAV 4, but slid into the path of a 2022 Kenworth propane delivery truck owned by Dead River Company of South Portland, ME. The propane truck was operated by Adam Carleton, 33, of Sutton, VT. Deschamps’ vehicle sustained disabling damages as a result of the crash and was removed from the scene by the owner of the vehicle. The propane truck sustained minor cosmetic damage and was driven from the scene. DMV Enforcement was assisted on the scene by Plainfield Fire Department.
