
SUBJECT: Commercial Motor Vehicle Crash

LOCATION OF EVENT(S): Grange Hall Road, Enosburg

SUMMARY:
On 02/07/2025 at approximately 7:24 a.m., DMV Enforcement and Safety responded to a school bus crash in Enosburg. Several occupants of the bus were reported to have sustained minor injuries in of the crash. Upon arrival of the scene, DMV Inspectors spoke with the operator, Terry Wright, 78, of Enosburg Falls. Wright stated that he was transporting students to school and when a snow squall caused him to lose visibility of the roadway. Wright left the roadway, and the bus overturned and came to a position of uncontrolled rest on its side. The occupants of the vehicle were evacuated from the bus and evaluated by EMS personnel on scene. The bus was owned by Terricel Transport of Swanton. Inspectors conducted a post-crash inspection of the bus and found that there were no pre-existing mechanical defects that would have contributed to the crash. The bus did not sustain any damage as a result of the crash and was pulled back onto the roadway by Vaillancourt Towing.
DMV Enforcement and Safety were assisted on scene by Bakersfield First Response, Enosburg Ambulance, Enosburg Volunteer Fire Department, and Vermont State Police.
