Overview
The Motor Vehicle Section Chief will oversee three separate and unique units of the DMV Call Center, Driver Improvement, and E-Services units.
The Section Chief will be responsible for all daily activities of the units, including the direct supervisors of each unit, helping to strategize to ensure meeting the operating requirements while supporting and monitoring internal processes and controls.
Analyzing workflow, identifying issues, and implementing workable solutions is vital in this role. Additionally, the Section Chief must be able to develop effective working relationships with staff, external customers, and vendors and initiate and maintain work statistics. The position must be referenced and guided by Title 23 and will provide/develop necessary training, guidance, motivation, and support to the team.
