SUMMARY:

On February 19, 2025, at approximately 7:29 a.m., Inspector Lindor responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a passenger car and a plow truck with unknown hazards or injuries. The operator of the passenger car, Drucilla Turner, 31, of Ryegate, was traveling east on Route 302 in Newbury in a 2010 Mazda 3 behind a Town of Newbury plow truck, identified as a 2017 Freightliner and operated by Brandon Boyce, 32, of Wells River. The Mazda struck the back of the plow truck as the truck negotiated a left turn. The Mazda sustained significant and disabling damage to the front end and was occupied by four other passengers, including three children. The Freightliner sustained minor damage to the rear-end of the vehicle.

Newbury Emergency Medical Services evaluated all occupants, and no injuries were reported. Newbury Volunteer Fire Department responded for precautionary purposes. Due to disabling damage, the Mazda was towed by JTB Towing & Recovery, and the Freightliner was escorted to Newbury Town garage where a post-crash inspection was completed.
