CMV Crash | VT Route 58 and Guyette Road, Irasburg

SUBJECT: Commercial Motor Vehicle Crash

DATE/TIME OF INCIDENT: 3/5/2025, 3:39 p.m.

INCIDENT NUMBER: 25MV002562

TYPE OF EVENT(S): CRASH

LOCATION OF EVENT(S): VT Route 58 and Guyette Road, Irasburg

INVESTIGATING INPECTOR(S): Cotnoir

SUMMARY:

On 3/5/2025 at 3:39 p.m., Department of Motor Vehicles Enforcement responded to a crash of a single commercial motor vehicle, a 2012 Peterbilt tractor trailer driven by Mathieu Van-Onsem, 27, of Saint-Marie Quebec and owned by Couture Logistique, Inc. The tractor trailer was traveling east on VT 58 when the operator lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn in the roadway. There was major damage to the tractor and trailer. Van-Onsem was not injured in the crash.

The DMV was assisted by Vermont State Police, Irasburg Fire Department, and the Orleans Ambulance service, all of which responded to the incident.
