Boating Safety Education

The Marine Division of the Vermont State Police is responsible for recreational boating safety on all Vermont’s waterways.  This task is accomplished by providing boating safety education, patrolling of Vermont’s waterways and enforcement of Vermont’s boating laws.

Snowmobile Safety & Training

The Snowmobile Division of the Vermont State Police is responsible for safety and enforcement on the Statewide Snowmobile Trails System (SSTS).  This task is accomplished by providing snowmobile safety education, patrolling of the SSTS and enforcement of Vermont’s snowmobile laws.

The Vermont Association of Snow Travelers (VAST) is responsible for the organization of the sport of snowmobiling, maintaining and grooming over 4,700 miles of trails in Vermont.

Vermont ATV Sportsman’s Association (VASA) is the statewide association of local ATV clubs, authorized by, and in partnership with, the State of Vermont to develop and manage ATV trails in Vermont.
