A Vermont licensed resident who does not possess a motorcycle endorsement may obtain a motorcycle learner's permit to learn how to operate a motorcycle. To obtain a motorcycle learner's permit, you must successfully complete the Motorcycle Learner's Permit Exam (permit exams are online). If you fail the permit exam, you must wait at least one day before taking it again.

The VT Rider Education Program (VREP) is looking for individuals interested in becoming certified to conduct the Motorcycle Safety Foundation’s Basic RiderCourse. The training is free to individuals interested in working for VREP after becoming certified to teach the Basic RiderCourse.
