Truth in Mileage Act

All Vermont titles conform with the Federal Truth in Mileage Act.

For each reassignment of ownership, space will be provided for the Odometer Statement and both the seller's and buyer's signatures.

If there are additional reassignments of ownership, these must be on a secure form, "Registered Owner's/Dealer's Reassignment of Title To A Motor Vehicle" which is available from this Department.

A separate Odometer Disclosure Statement is not necessary for conforming titles.
