New Vehicle (never registered)
You need to submit the following documents obtained from the dealer:
- Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin (MCO)
- Bill of Sale & Odometer Disclosure Statement (VT-005)
Complete a Vermont Registration, Tax, and Title application and submit it (together with the above documentation and the appropriate fees) to the Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles. New Vehicle (registered)
You need to submit the following documents obtained from the dealer:
- Ownership document issued by the jurisdiction where the vehicle was registered
- Import paperwork certifying vehicle meets US emission requirements
- Odometer Disclosure Statement (VT-005)

You need to submit the following documents obtained from the person selling you the vehicle (previous owner):
- Import paperwork certifying vehicle meets US emission requirements
